Installation Wibautstraat

2009

The orange fluorescent drawing is made on the windows of the shop window and at a given point coincides with the reflection of the metro hall on the windows. The green forms are planes in the back wall of the inner space, which also derive their shape from the reflection of the metro hall. At a designated point in the hall, the shapes in the interior space, the drawing on the glass and the reflection of the hall on the windows, coincide. The green drawing in the interior space follows the contours of this room. Location: hall Wibautstraat metro station, Amsterdam.

this is the artificial light part of the installation; one light bulb hung on the wall; the shape of the vertical objects was dictated by the shadow they had to throw: a square shadow of the same size.
